With Channukah coming up this Saturday (I can’t believe it is December already!), I decided to do a little ‘Ready for Channukah’ shoot. I asked my husband and mother in law: “tell me about Channukah” and put together images which with some things that came to me as they talked, and conveyed the anticipation of the holidays. I *love* Holidays and always try to celebrate them, but for us are usually very homey, unplanned and low key (and now with Noah, that includes New Year’s Eve too :-)). I wanted to have some of that simplicity conveyed on the photos. I’ve included ceramic bowls given to my husband by his grandmother in the shoot to represent him and family and roses representing the end of the year coming up for my side of things. Noah made sure to also leave his mark by chewing on the chocolate coins (paper and all) – and I liked the way they looked post-chew and used the bent ones :-).
